Prenatal and postpartum yoga is Riya's specialty. One of the best things a pregnant woman can do for herself and her unborn child is to practice yoga throughout and after her pregnancy. Pregnancy aches and pains can be eased, sleep quality improved, and energy levels raised with yoga. It also aids in the body's preparation for childbirth and labor. The main objectives of Riya's sessions are to relieve tension and encourage relaxation while also strengthening the muscles required during birthing. In her sessions, she also incorporates Sukshma Vyayma and Yoganindra. She offers safe, rhythmic, repetitive stretching exercises called Yogic Sukshma Vyayamas (Loosening and Strengthening). She also incorporates yogic sleep or yoga nidra, which is one of the simplest yoga practices to learn and practice consistently, yet it is an incredibly potent meditation technique. You will learn from Riya how to meditate methodically through the pancha maya kosha, or the five layers of the self, which leaves you feeling complete and rejuvenated.
