MMA strategies you will learn
Training for MMA especially competitions is intense and long. There are several areas that have to be developed in order to be a competitive fighter. Solid skills have to be achieved before the training can really start. Most of these come from the martial arts discipline of the fighter. The development of strength, power, force and endurance will come after the skill set is established.
There are three basic solid skill sets to be learnt that come from any martial arts discipline. The “stand-up” skill set includes footwork, kicking, elbowing, kneeing, and punching. The “clinch” skill set involves close-range fighting, take downs & throws. The "ground” skill set mainly consists of submission holds and ground control incorporated from kickboxing, muay thai, judo etc.
Development of skills in MMA like other sports is extremely important. Having the skills is only half of the battle - the other half is getting your skills mastered and up to a competitive level.
