Karen has led group Yoga sessions at the Rotary Club of Mumbai, Juhu Tara road, and the 21 Days Better Living Course conducted at the Yoga Institute, Santacruz. She has conducted several group Yoga sessions for various corporates based in Mumbai like Macquarie, DHR Holdings, Here Technology, and Smiths Medical. During her corporate stint in Hong Kong, Karen held a complimentary workshop on breathing exercises for stress management. She has also conducted free one-day workshops for adults 40+ age group in Bandra, Mumbai, and for senior citizens 60+ age group at Nirmala Niketan, Goregaon, Mumbai.

What is Karen's style of teaching?

Karen’s style of teaching covers all the basic fundamentals of Yoga while diving deeper into the study of asana, pranayama, Yoga psychology, chanting, and mantras. She includes backbends, arm balances, hip openers, and Yogic philosophy (including Yamas and Niyamas) in her sessions. Karen does not follow a fancy or very specific style. She feels it is more rewarding for the client to learn Hatha Yoga or Hatha Yoga combined with Vinyasa, as that caters a strong ground to any Yoga journey. Participants will come away with a better understanding of the body, flow, and movement, along with greater precision in language and confidence in the articulation of postures and alignment rules. Karen engages in effortless communication and makes sure the student has understood each step thoroughly before moving on.
