Kajol has completed her Bachelor’s in Physical Education (B.P. Ed.) from Lakshmibai National institute of Physical Education, Gwalior, and her Post-Graduation Diploma in Sports Coaching from Lakshmibai National institute of Physical Education, Gwalior. She has completed 200 Hours of the Yoga Teacher Training Course from Yogi Yoga Classes associated with Rishikesh Yoga Prakash and has also completed the 10 days certificate course in prenatal and postnatal yoga from the same institute.
Kajol’s style of teaching is practical, simple, and direct with little room for confusion. She teaches exercises that typically use the whole body – definitely multiple muscles and emphasize core strength and stability. Kajol does not believe in creating a routine that focuses on just one muscle group as it doesn’t provide as many benefits in the functional fitness realm. For instance, a bicep curl targets just the bicep but she will combine the bicep curl with a reverse lunge to integrate the whole body and test your balance. She also likes to mix things up so as to keep students on their toes and in the present moment. Kajol also uses CrossFit and HIIT in her sessions as she finds it more time efficient for fitness and weight loss than focusing on one muscle at a time. Adding a few shorter, more intense full-body exercise sessions to your routine boosts the calories you burn. While teaching Yoga she blends Hatha and Vinyasa where she teaches the same sequence twice, the first time holding each pose without transitions, then the second time, flowing between each posture, breath to breath. Kajol is creative in her sequencing and does not stick to teaching one style only; she incorporates at least two together which is very popular nowadays.
