Geethashri has completed the 200-hour Ashtanga Vinyasa and Vinyasa flow Yoga Teacher Training Course at Vinyasa Yoga Ashram, Rishikesh (Ashtanga Vinyasa and Vinyasa Flow Yoga). She has also trained for a year at SJS Yoga Institute under Karthik Patil, a student of the renowned BKS Iyengar.
Geethashri worked at Cult.fit as a Yoga instructor and has led several workshops and Yoga sessions. She has also worked as Dance Fitness and Prowl Instructor at Cult.fit. She has conducted online and offline Yoga sessions and also has experience as a fitness trainer having Worked as SNC Online Trainer at Cult.fit.
Geethashri’s approach to Yoga is inspired by the styles of Iyengar and Ashtanga Yoga having studied both. Her main Yoga practice is a blend of Iyengar, Ashtanga, and Vinyasa Flow with teaching emphasis on correct, safe alignment in postures and the unlimited benefits both physical and mental that a regular Yoga practice can bring to anybody. Geethashri is fully committed to the promotion of the Iyengar method. In her classes, she focuses on alignment and the right sequencing of asanas to achieve balance and general well-being. Geethashri brings her broad experience in meditation, spiritual practice, and many years of working in the Yoga and fitness sector into her teaching style. She also promotes meditation as a systematic practice to promote physical and mental tranquility with the purpose of reaching Samadhi (self-realization).
