Divya has completed her Master in Arts of Yoga from Maharishi University of Management and Technology. She holds a post-graduate Diploma in yogic science from Pt. Sunderlal Sharma University, Bilaspur. Divya has studied at HRS International Yoga Organisation, Kayakalp the Academy of Yoga Delhi and is also a Yoga Instructor certified by Patanjali Yoga Samiti. Divya is a Senior Yoga Trainer (B&W), National Skills Qualifications Framework Level - 6.
Divya has worked as a Yoga Instructor (Iyengar Yoga) at The Sports School, Bangalore. She has also led workshops at the International Yoga Organisation, Kayakalp Academy of Yoga, Delhi. Divya is also a Yoga Teacher at the International Yoga Organisation, Karnataka.
Yogic Sukshma Vyayamas are incorporated by Divya within her sessions. The safe, repetitive, rhythmic stretching movements known as Yogic Sukshma Vyayamas (Loosening and Strengthening Practices) are coordinated with breathing. These exercises strengthen the muscles and joints while also mobilizing them. They also aid in raising consciousness, concentrating attention, and strengthening concentration. To assess and treat any physical or mental stresses related to any one of these joints, Divya assists us in moving our focus sequentially throughout all of the joints. She also pays attention to alignment, keeping the body in its intended position and honoring it’s limits. With Iyengar yoga, Divya promotes the use of props to help students complete an asana without endangering their safety. Achieving equilibrium among the body, mind, and breath can be facilitated by effective alignment. Sequencing is important to Divya as well. This facilitates the "opening" and balancing of the physical and emotional body, as well as a safe and orderly progression of the poses.
