Divya has completed her Masters in Yoga education at the renowned Uttarakhand Sanskrit University, Haridwar, and has also completed the 200 Hours of the Yoga Teacher Training course from Divya Yog Kendra, Haridwar.
Divya’s approach encourages the integration of traditional Yoga in a modern context. Her routines help in active strengthening and passive stretching. Her teaching modules each represent a pillar of mind, body, and energy. These three pillars when taught together, create a well-rounded Yoga education with an emphasis on the development of the individual. Divya’s approach is further defined by the 5 shells or layers known as ‘koshas’: physical, energetic, emotional, mental, and spiritual. She combines Ashtanga, Vinyasa, Hatha, and Pranayama to bring a beautiful blend to the practice. Divya will curate routines based on the need of the client. For instance, sometimes they require high-energy sequences to release built-up tension, and at other times they need a class that allows them to shift the parasympathetic side of their nervous system to let go of the stresses of the day.
