Disha holds a Post Graduate Diploma in Yoga Education from the acclaimed Yoga Institute "Kaivalyadham" situated at Lonavala near Mumbai. She has been awarded the 1st rank in the PG diploma course from Kaivalyadham. Disha is also a Nutrition and Weight Management Specialist certified by ACSM.
Basic to advanced asanas, pranayamas, bandhas, kriyas, and yoga nidra are all covered by Disha. Yoga Nidra, also referred to as yogic sleep, is one of the simplest yoga practices to establish and sustain and is a tremendously effective meditation technique. This methodical meditation progresses through the pancha maya kosha (five layers of self) as the practitioner is lying peacefully in savasana (corpse pose), leaving them feeling complete. Her practice includes bandhas, which are yogic techniques for cutting off the passage of energy to particular body areas. The bandhas play a crucial role in your asana practice. A breathing method called pranayama is used to regulate, cultivate, and change the quantity, nature, flow, and direction of vital energy in the body. Increased physical awareness, better digestion, a decrease in common ailments and disorders, and more vitality are just a few benefits of using kriyas. Disha uses six cleansing methods known as Shatkarma Kriyas or Shat Karmas.
